Asia Cement continues to foster talent for future generations, develop local communities, and promote activities for the vulnerable, while Halla Cement continues to support education, ecological recovery, and support local residents. Asia Paper also runs programs to promote the welfare of local residents and improve the environment, and strives to fulfill the social role of companies.

Asia Cement is conducting scholarship projects to discover creative and excellent talents and foster them as competent next-generation leaders through the school corporation Mungyeong Academy, Seobong Cultural Foundation, and Asong Scholarship Association.

Mungyeong Academy established Mungyeong Girls' High School and Munchang High School in Mungyeong-si in 1956 to contribute to the development of local education according to the maintenance of the late Seobong Lee Dong-nyeong, the founder. Mungyeong Academy is striving to contribute to the development of local education and to cultivate future leaders by discovering excellent local talents.

The Seobong Cultural Foundation is a scholarship foundation established in 1985 to discover talented people who will lead the future of Korea. Since 1999, we have continuously supported scholarships by selecting talented people with excellent academic performance. Meanwhile, the Seobong Cultural Foundation sponsors the Seobong Shortening Marathon held in Mungyeong every year to commemorate the noble spirit of the late Seobong Lee Dong-nyeong, who worked hard on regional development and talent development projects. The Seobong Cultural Foundation plans to continue to participate in sponsorship so that the Seobongi Shortening Marathon can become a competition that contributes to the development of Korean sports, the expansion of the marathon population, and the discovery of marathon athletes.

Asia Cement signed a blood donation MOU with Chungbuk Blood Center in 2016 to help protect precious lives, and regularly donated blood four times a year. For this, it was awarded the commendation of the head of the blood management headquarters in 2021 to commemorate World Blood Donor Day. In addition, it has been steadily increasing since 2013 to provide high-quality medical services to vulnerable medical services in nearby villages.We are also striving to communicate with local residents and improve health by practicing oriental medicine love sharing medical service.

Asia Cement is improving the weak residential environment of the elderly living alone and the second-highest class through the "Love House Repair" project. Every year, in cooperation with the Korean Red Cross, four to five households are selected and changed to a safe and clean residential environment to deliver a message of hope. In addition, we participate in the Korea Habitat's House of Hope Building project, which supports living in a more pleasant environment by building safe houses for the vulnerable in the residential environment, and deliver a message of hope to our neighbors.

Halla Cement shares a cultural center in the temple apartment complex for residents of Okgye, which is in the blind spot of cultural welfare, so that baths, fitness centers, and aerobics can be used, and will continue to strive to improve the quality of life of local residents.

Asia Paper is carrying out various activities such as filial piety tourism and senior citizens' parties to improve the quality of life of local residents. It supports periodic activities and delivers joy to the elderly in the surrounding area.

We have been operating Niyagara University since 2013 for cultural and leisure activities for the elderly in Bugang-myeon, Sejong-si. Asia Paper is helping Niyagara University run the university by providing educational equipment and other materials.

In order to contribute to the revitalization of the local economy and regional development, Asia Cement has signed an agreement with Jecheon City to purchase more than 200 million won in Jecheon currency (Moa Gift Certificate) every year and sponsors local governments. Halla Cement raises and supports a certain amount of funds every year for regional development and resident welfare projects. The regional development fund has been operated since 2003 around Okgye-myeon, Gangneung-si, where the factory is located, and other sports promotion projects, school development funds, and cultural welfare events are sponsored. In addition, since 2017, we have been conducting environmental improvement activities to mediate and resolve various civil complaints related to the operation of the factory through the Okgye-myeon Prosperity Association. In the future, we will continue to pursue win-win development with the local community by actively promoting new support programs that can be implemented by Halla Cement, reflecting the needs of the local community.

In 2004, we started the "Eco-Baekdu 2+ Movement" as a "win-win partnership environmental movement" with the environmental civic group Baekdudaegan Conservation Association as a prerequisite for securing transparency. The movement, which aims to revive Baekdudaegan Mountain Range, the foundation of the natural ecosystem on the Korean Peninsula, and cultivate it for the future, is a public-private partnership movement involving the Baekdudaegan Conservation Association, the Ministry of Environment, and the Forest Service. Through this program, we are promoting various environmental activities such as the Baekdudaegan Ecological Forest Creation Movement, the operation of an ecological environment experience school, and the exploration of Baekdudaegan Environmental Team.

Halla Cement established the Okgye-myeon-Halla Cement Scholarship Foundation in 2003 in connection with the local community to create a foundation for the development of Gangneung Okgye community with poor educational environment.
