Asia practices environmental management to minimize possible negative environmental impacts in the cement and paper industries and to lead the industry's eco-friendly culture. Asia Cement, Halla Cement, and Asia Paper all establish an environmental management system and governance to manage environmental management performance and promote improvement activities.
Asia Cement establishes and manages mid- to long-term goals to implement environmental management strategies centered on low-carbon, green management. Halla Cement is achieving its goals through effective implementation measures by conducting regular environmental evaluations and setting improvement goals based on the global environmental management system certified by ISO14001. Asia Paper is promoting environmental management with two pillars: carbon neutrality and environmental policy response.

In order to share the environmental management vision and goals that Asia wants to implement, executives and business partners are actively carrying out environmental management internalization activities.
In order to preemptively respond to environmental safety accidents, we establish environmental education programs for executives and employees and provide regular education accordingly. We are also working hard to improve the environmental management of our suppliers by reflecting environmental factors in the evaluation of our suppliers. In addition, we are striving to prevent accidents in advance by thoroughly managing chemicals and to reduce greenhouse gas, waste, and air pollutant emissions that negatively affect the environment. Furthermore, by recycling circulating resources and expanding the use of renewable energy, we are seeking to establish a circulating economic system and minimize environmental impact.

The impact of climate change is deepening, and accordingly, a transition to a decarbonized society is required. In response, we continue to invest in climate change, air and water resources management, and the establishment of a circular economic system. In addition, we minimize the negative impact on the community through community environmental cleanup and ecosystem protection activities.

Asia Cement, Halla Cement, and Asa Paper are building a circular economy system by replacing fuel using circulating resources and recycling process by-products, and are upgrading environmental management systems to minimize pollutant emissions and increase the use of circulating resources.
